Mary Ann Pfeiffer

Mary Ann joined the West County Swing Dance Club in 2005 and soon joined the Board of Directors and has remained there since. She has served as Co-Chair of Rollin On The River for several years, newsletter editor, membership, Vice- President, Treasurer, and President for 4 years.

As a certified dance instructor, Mary Ann has taught at all levels. She served as President of the Midwest Swing Dance Federation, President of the St. Charles Imperial Dance Club, and club representative to the ABA.

She supports other clubs and has attended many out-of-town dance events.

Jim Vroman

Jim Vroman

Jim joined The Great Lakes Swing Dance Club in 1991 and has been a member since. He has served as Sergeant-at-Arms, Trustee, Vice President and President.

He’s the person that arrives early to set everything up and is the last to leave to pack everything back up. He set up a program to “Ask A New Person To Dance” and encourages everyone to introduce themselves and dance with new members.

He keeps the Club’s best interests in mind dealing with the club Suggestion Box. Jim has been the Club representative to the ABA for years and travels to many out-of-town events.

Tammy Dolan

Tammy Dolan

Tammy has always loved to dance. From attending her first swing dance, she has dedicated her time and talent to promote, grow and preserve the popularity of Swing, Bop, Jitterbug and Shag dancing. She has served on local boards, teaches dance classes and volunteers for many dance events.  She is a respected and talented dancer, instructor and leader.

Tammy became a certified dance instructor in 2011. She teaches for M.U.S.I.C. and many of the local ABA Sister Clubs. Over the years, she has been a member of: St. Louis Imperial, Moolah Shrine, South Side Imperial, Rebels and West County

Tammy first joined the board of M.U.S.I.C. in 2014 as the Dance and Music Director, then Vice President and President.  She is the administrator and Webmaster for the club Facebook page.

She serves as the club’s ABA Representative, and the Midwest Swing Dance Federation Representative, where she served as Secretary and Vice-President.  She has been on the New Year’s Eve Federation Dinner/Dance committee and the Annual Federation picnic committee.

Sharon Sandvoss

Sharon Sandvoss

Sharon’s swing dance career began in 2001. She was elected to the Board of Directors of the West County Swing Dance Club, and has served in many capacities, President, Vice President, and Secretary.

Several years ago, Sharon, created an instructional East Coast Swing dance DVD to unify the teaching in the classes offered by the West County Swing Dance Club, and to give students who purchased the DVD, the ability to practice the lessons at home before and after their classes.

Sharon has been an active member in the Midwestern United States Imperial Club, (MUSIC), St. Louis Imperial Dance Club, and South Side Imperial Dance Club. she attended many Midwest Federation Affiliate Club and American Bop Association Member Club dance conventions: Jefferson City Swing Dance Club, Lake Ozark Swing Dance Club, Cincinnati Bob Club, Chicago’s Windy City Jitterbug Club, Derby City Bop, Evansville River City Bop Club, Indy Dancers, Little Rock Bop Club, Memphis Bop Club, and The Nashville Club.  

Sharon has Co-Chaired one of the ABA convention dance event, Rollin on the River. She was inducted to the Midwest Swing Dance Federation Hall of Fame in 2019.

2024

Bobbi Steinkuehler

Bobbi began dancing in 2010 and has continued to be very involved ever since. An accomplished instructor, she has taught for several dance clubs both locally and out of town.

Active not only in her home club of South Side Imperial Dance Club, she is also a member of Swing Kids, West County Swing Dance, and St. Louis Imperial where she supports the clubs in various roles and Board positions.

In December of 2015, Bobbi became Member at Large for SSISDC and was recognized for her contributions by being inducted into the Midwest Swing Dance Federation’s Hall of Fame in 2021. Always first to raise her hand, Bobbi has distinguished herself in the dance community.

Vicky and Rick Rideout

Rick and Vicky have been dancing for many years. Between their active involvement with both Evansville River City Bop Club and local Ballroom dance clubs, they both have taught various styles of dance on a regular basis.

Rick is a highly respected DJ and has provided not only provided his DJ services, but has taught and provided all the sound equipment and lighting for both local and out of town dance events.

Ambassadors to dance Rick and Vicky are highly regarded in both the Swing and Ballroom dance communities. They have supported, in various ways, out of town events, ie. Evansville Swing Fling, Jammin In July, Cincy Westie Bash, Swing Pittsburgh, Rock City Swing, and Social Dance Mania.

2025

Jennifer Martin

In 2021 Jennifer was awarded the President’s Award for outstanding service to Derby City Bop since she started dancing with the club in 2005. Active in nearly every function of a Dance Club, Jennifer has excelled wherever she served. Her overwhelming positive, welcoming attitude, and willingness to help has made Jennifer a “Poster Child” of an active and involved member of the Club.

Jennifer has served in several positions on the board and chaired several committees, taught dance lessons, and is always there to set up or tear down for the dances. Her positive attitude makes her a real “Dance Emissary” for her Club.

Jim and Sharon Commerford

Jim and Sharon have been involved with multiple clubs for over 30 years. Jim started dancing in 1994, joining South Side Imperial Dance Club. Sharon started dancing in 1999. joining M.U.S.I.C. in Collinsville, IL. They both embraced the dance community and became involved by volunteering and becoming dance instructors teaching all levels of swing dance for several clubs, and they have served in every board position. Jim is a past President of the West County Swing Dance Club in St. Louis.

After selling their business, Embroidery On Demand, LLC, a home embroidery business serving the dance community and retiring to Florida they became involved in the Tampa Bay Beach Boppers, where they are involved in every aspect of the Club. Jim is currently President of the club.

Sharon also serves as the Secretary for the ABA as well as social media administrator for both the ABA and Tampa Bay Beach Boppers.
